The game's plot follows a little girl who wakes up in an eerie, abandoned house. She must find all the pieces of her diary, scattered in the dark corners of the building, to remember everything and escape. Dear Diary is a 2D horror top-down game, where players must use candles to illuminate the dark rooms and find the scraps of memories in the diary.
